Exams and Grades
Online learning professors generally choose one of the following
methods to administer exams:
• Take Home/Open Book Exams which are mailed to students with
a deadline for their return.
• Group Exams, when offered, require students to come to
either the Newark campus, Brookdale Community College, or Camden
County Community
College for testing.
• Online exams are posted in a conference or on a website
at a specific date and time.
• Personally Proctored Exams are given at the discretion of
your instructor and at a time and location mutually agreeable to
you, the Academic Department, and the Office of Extended Learning
Delivery. Students take these exams while being monitored by an
approved proctor. This approved proctor will receive the exam from
the Office of Extended Learning Delivery and return it to that office
.
Your instructor will inform you of the exam options available
for your specific course. The Exam Declaration Form
must be submitted during the first three weeks of the semester.
The Exam Declaration Form tells your professor how and where you
plan to take your exam. This form is located in each Course Profile.
Grade Reports are sent out to students approximately two weeks
after the close of the semester. Grades are also available via
the Registrar's Website http://www.njit.edu/Registrar/
once your instructor has submitted them. Please contact your instructor
if there is no grade submitted for the course you have completed.
