Founded in 1881, New Jersey Institute of Technology is a major public technological university with over 100 degree programs that prepare students to be leaders in the technology-dependent economy of the 21st century. For the past 25 years, NJIT through its Division of Continuing Professional Education, has developed and delivered education and training programs to students and professionals around the world through instructor-led eLearning, real-time learning and blended delivery.  Our research in the field of eLearning began back in the 1980’s when NJIT researchers coined and registered the trademark, “Virtual Classroom ®.”

Using an extensive IT infrastructure, array of subject matter experts, and full video production studios, we offer a proven end-to-end education and training solution ranging from content design and development to hosting and delivery.

In the past decade alone, NJIT has trained over 45,000 professionals associated with over 500 companies and each year educates roughly 9,000 students in degree programs and another 7,000 professionals, many of them through our eLearning credit and non-credit courses. In fact, NJIT recently placed 7^th in the nation for eLearning enrollments according to a U.S. News and World Report survey of America’s Best On-line Graduate Degree Programs. Illustrative of our reputation in the field of eLearning, for the six years in which the survey was published, NJIT placed in the top ten of America’s “Most Wired” universities according to Yahoo! Internet Life.
